India Me

Christine Ka’aloa is an avid lover of travel and works as a shooter/field producer for reality TV. Born and raised in Hawaii and being hapa-cated (a complex ethnic mix of Native Hawaiian, Japanese, German & Chinese), her appreciation for cultural diversity began at home. She can navigate cuisine via chopsticks, poi fingers and traditional western silverware.

She  was inspired to start her GRRRL Traveler blog on a recent trip to India & Nepal when she was forced to separate from her travel  companions and navigate as a solo female traveler through developing countries for the very first time. She made it through, survived and is grateful to the friendliness and generosity of locals and fellow travelers who helped her along the way.

Christine has lived in Hawaii, Los Angeles, St.Louis and currently lives and works  from New York.
